Michelle’s Favorite Vacation

“For families that are contemplating Beaches Turks & Caicos – I highly recommend this vacation! It was the best all-inclusive family vacation my family and I have ever been on. We stayed at the Italian Village, which is absolutely gorgeous. You can tell that this is the newest village. This vacation is more expensive than other all-inclusive resorts but is well worth the money. I like to go to different places every year to gain knowledge on different destinations, but I would definitely go back here.

Turks & CaicosFood is important while on vacation, so I will start with that. There is a choice of 16 different restaurants here. The food is fabulous – from the tenderloin at Barefoot By The Sea (My husband insisted we have another dinner here on the last night the tenderloin was that good.) to the mahi-mahi at Schooner’s, not to mention the tiramisu at Mario’s and the apple cheesecake at Schooner’s. We also enjoyed Bobby D’s for lunch. This is the restaurant shaped like the pirate ship. The lunch buffet at Arizona’s was great as well. We had lunch at Cricketeer’s Pub – food was good but if you’re in a hurry don’t go here – service was slow and it wasn’t even crowded.

We did send our son to camp one night so we could go to one of the adult-only restaurants – we chose Le Petit Chateau – food was good but it is a 2-hour dinner – apparently they make everything from scratch. The kids camp makes sure your child is fed, and when I went to pick him up at 10:00 PM, he told me he enjoyed it, and that it was better than he thought it would be – LOL.

Turks & CaicosWe all loved the water park. They have 4 major slides, a lazy river and a surfing simulator – you can body surf daily from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and then after that you have to be 10 or older to surf standing up – I believe you have to sign up to do that!

The water here is absolutely gorgeous – I can’t say enough good things about the beach and pool here. We snorkeled twice we enjoyed it so much (for free). The pool activities go on at either the Iguana pool in the Caribbean Village or the French pool. There are no activities going on at the pool in the Italian Village, so if you are waiting for players to show up by the Italian pool to get everyone participating in activities – it’s not going to happen. The pool is beautiful in the Italian Village – we would swim at night here. The Friday night beach party was great – don’t miss it – they have food and entertainment on the beach. Beaches has local crafters come in on Tuesdays and set up their wares at the Caribbean Village, and there are also some local crafters set up on a daily basis outside of the resort – you have to go through the gate in the Italian Village to get there.

Turks & CaicosMy husband enjoyed the beach volleyball every day. There is a nice gym here as well – with a refrigerator full of cold scented towels. I went for a massage one day – which was of course wonderful. I can’t stop talking about this vacation!!! The staff was very pleasant and the maid service was amazing. Oh, by the way, don’t forget to bring your insect repellant for the evening. Plenty of activities for the entire family. Loved this vacation!”
